The other homes and institutions, though not specifically carrying out inspections, yet form the focal centres for reports from the general public.
5. A large number of other charitable bodies receive
no financial support, but are nevertheless interested in the
care of mui -t sai.

Thus the Anti-Mui-Tsai Society, which consists
of some 600 members, have formed a sub-committee to investig-
ate mui-tsai complaints, any information thus obtained being
passed to the Secretariat for Chinese Affairs.

The remaining institutions, as in the cases mentioned in paragraph 4 above, are designed primarily to
care for the welfare of mui-tsai who have left their former
employers.
